IIRF MBA Rankings 2024: IIM Ahmedabad Tops, FMS Delhi Clinches Second Position – Times of India

The Indian Institutional Ranking Framework recently published the 2024 rankings for MBA programs. Delhi University’s Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) moved up from fifth place in 2023 to claim the second spot in the MBA rankings for 2024. The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) achieved the top position in the ranking. Following closely, IIM Calcutta, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Kozhikode secured the third, fourth, and fifth positions, respectively.

XLRI Xavier Institute of Management, Jamshedpur, MDI-Management Development Institute, Gurugram, S P Jain Institute of Management, Research, Mumbai, and Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune have secured the top four ranks respectively, under the category of top private business schools in India.
SIBM-Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (Pune), Symbiosis Centre for Management & Human Resource Development – SCMHRD (Pune), and XIMB-Xavier Institute of Management (Bhubaneswar) have secured the top three ranks under the category of top business schools under university programs.
The National Education Policy (NEP 2020) emphasises the importance of employability. Recognising this significance, the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) has released the rankings for colleges in the Top Business Schools for Employability category. XLRI Xavier Institute of Management (Jamshedpur), MDI-Management Development Institute (Gurugram), and S P Jain Institute of Management & Research (Mumbai) have clinched the top three positions in the employability category.
As per the IIRF, they assessed over 300 management institutions and provided rankings to 50 government and 160 private management institutions. These rankings serve as a guide for individuals aspiring to pursue a career in management and for stakeholders in the academic field.
IIRF has released the ranking in six categories:
1. Overall Ranking of Government B-Schools
2. Overall Ranking of Private B-Schools
3. Top 50 Business Schools under the University Program
4. Top 50 Business Schools for Research
5. Top 50 Business Schools for Employability
The IIRF Management Ranking 2024 evaluates institutions on seven key parameters, providing a comprehensive perspective on their research output and employability impact. The ranking is conducted by Maction Consulting under the mentorship of the Federation for World Academics (FWA).
The Seven Key Parameters are:

2. Industry Income and Integration
3. Placement Performance
4. Research
5. Placement Strategy & Support
6. Future Orientation
7. External Perception and International Outlook (EPIO)
