The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the e-Admit Cards for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2026 and the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2026. Candidates appearing for either examination can access and download their admit cards through the official UPSC website. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has launched the application window for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) aiming to gain approval for offering programs via Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online formats, targeting the January–February 2027 academic session and beyond. Institutions can apply between September 1 and September 15, as per the UGC notice released on August 31. All submissions must be made online through the UGC Distance Education Bureau (DEB) portal. New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct a re-examination for NEET-PG 2026 candidates in Jaipur on 5 September after an internal power supply breakdown disrupted the exam at two centres on Sunday. NBEMS The NBEMS had conducted the NEET-PG 2026 examination for 2,73,096 candidates at 1,111 centres across 339 cities in 36 states and Union Territories, the Union ministry of health and family welfare said in a statement. UGC-NET 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday night defended its ‘answer key challenge’ mechanism, saying the system is designed to ensure fairness for all candidates and dismissed concerns over the fee charged for raising objections. The agency stated the ₹200 fee charged per question is returned to candidates whose objections are accepted, adding that the charge is intended to prevent frivolous challenges rather than generate revenue from genuine claims. The National Testing Agency (NTA) recently issued a clarification over provisional answer key challenge fee. The testing agency addressed the controversy around costly objection facility to challenge UGC NET answer key. Candidates were required to pay ₹200 fee per question to raise objections for which the window opened on the same day — 16 August — when the provisional answer key was released. IIT Kharagpur will begin the registration process for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2027 on September 5, 2026. The application window will remain open until October 12, 2026. The institute, which is organising the examination this year, has also launched the official JAM 2027 website at jam.iitkgp.ac.in.
