NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recently announced the disaffiliation of 21 schools across Delhi and Rajasthan, with 16 of these schools located in Delhi. Additionally, six Delhi-based schools have been downgraded from Senior Secondary to Secondary level.These actions followed a series of surprise inspections conducted by CBSE on September 3, aimed at assessing compliance with the Board’s Affiliation and Examination Bye-Laws, particularly in relation to student attendance.In a notification released today, dated November 6, CBSE stated that the disaffiliations and downgrades were necessary to uphold educational standards and address widespread issues with attendance.
