NEW DELHI: The Madras High Court has directed the Tamil Nadu government to implement the Guidelines for Elimination of Corporal Punishment in Schools (GECP) as outlined by the NCPCR.Justice SM Subramaniam observed that corporal punishment was unacceptable, as outlined in Section 17(1) of the Rights of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009.The court emphasised that resorting to corporal punishment was not a viable approach to guide children; rather, efforts should be focused on treating children with dignity and respect.Justice Subramaniam issued this directive to the Principal Secretary of the School Education Department during recent interim proceedings on a ... छात्रा की मौत के सिलसिले में दो शिक्षकों को हिरासत में लिया गया. कल्लाकुरिची : तमिलनाडु पुलिस  ( Tamil Nadu Police) अधिकारियों के मुताबिक कल्लाकुरिची (Kallakurichi) के पास सोमवार को एक स्कूल के दो शिक्षकों (Teachers) को एक छात्रा की मौत के मामले में हिरासत में ले लिया गया. उन्होंने बताया कि 17 जुलाई को हुई हिंसक घटनाओं में शामिल होने और स्कूल में तोड़फोड़ करने के आरोप में करीब 300 लोगों को हिरासत में लिया जा चुका है और उनसे पूछताछ जारी है. अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, स्कूल प्रबंधन में वरिष्ठ पदों पर आसीन एक महिला समेत तीन लोगों को गिरफ्तार ...
