NEW DELHI: CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has announced that students not enrolled in regular schools will be banned from appearing for the Class 12 board examinations. According to CBSE officials, students and parents must ensure enrollment in legitimate, accredited schools and not in “dummy schools.” As part of its ongoing crackdown on this practice, CBSE is considering amendments to its examination bylaws, which could require affected students to take the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) test instead.
