Delhi LG approves 200 new PGT posts for government school – Times of India
New Delhi, Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has approved the creation of 200 additional Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) positions in Delhi government schools, according to a statement from Raj Niwas on Saturday. These regular posts, applicable at the secondary and senior secondary levels under Delhi’s Directorate of Education, will follow pay matrix level 8 (Rs 47,600 – Rs 1,51,100).The move is aimed at addressing concerns like favouritism, corruption, reservation violations, and employee harassment linked to non-permanent roles, as noted by the lieutenant governor’s office.
