CBSE’s official statement said, “A candidate after obtaining photocopy of evaluated answer book in the first step can decide whether to opt for Verification of marks which entails posting/totalling of marks or any unevaluated questions or Re-evaluation whereby the candidate requests for re-evaluation of a question or questions thereof. A candidate can apply for either Verification of marks or Re-evaluation or both as per due procedure after obtaining-photocopy of answer book.”

CBSE Class 10 board exams which began on February 15 and concluded on March 1 were held in single shifts, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Meanwhile, the board conducted the Class 12 board examination from February 15 to April 4 this year.

Students need to score a minimum of 33% marks in both theory and practical exams to pass the CBSE Class 10th and 12. However, grace marks will be awarded to those candidates who fall short by one or two marks.

CBSE offers a second chance to students who fails in one or two subjects in the CBSE 2025 board exams. Through these compartment exams students can qualify the CBSE 2025 board exams which will most likely be held in July 2025. 

However, if a student fails in more than two subjects, they won’t be eligible to appear in the compartment exams and will have to repeat the academic year, as per CBSE rules.

The Central Board is expected to announce Class 10 and 12 results soon. Students dissatisfied with their marks can apply for rechecking or revaluation. The rechecking and revaluation application process is expected to start in late May or early June and the registration fee will most likely be ₹500 per subject marks verification while for revaluation ₹100 per question will be charged.

DigiLocker’s updated homepage says, “Result will be Available Soon” with regard to CBSE Class 10 and 12 result.

Students will be able to access CBSE 2025 Class 10 and 12 results through IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System) by dial the number -24300699 with area code. This voice service will help students to hear marks of each subject.

• CBSE Class 10 exams were conducted between February 15 and March 1, 2025.

For access to digital mark sheets and other academic documents, CBSE issued a 6-digit security PIN, called the DigiLocker access code.
