Cross-functional education is the need of the hour to keep up with technological advancements like artificial intelligence (AI), said Kumar Mangalam Birla, the chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, on Sunday. He explained that cross-functional curricula meant pursuing multiple courses at different campuses simultaneously. “I think the need of the hour is more cross-functional education. BITSAT 2024 application window closes on April 16
The Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Pilani will close the online registration process for the Birla Institute of Technology & Science Admission Test (BITSAT) 2024 on Tuesday i.e. April 16, 2024. Interested candidates who have yet not completed his/her registration for the same can fill out the BITSAT 2024 application form on the official website at bitsadmission.com. Sitharaman advocates for interdisciplinary education, self-sufficiency in tech
Mumbai: Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday emphasized the importance of education for economic growth and highlighted the work done by the government in education and technology. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of BITS Pilani’s new campus, she stressed the need for interdisciplinary courses and underscored the development of 5G technology indigenously. According to Sitharaman, since 2014 India has seen a significant boost in its educational infrastructure, with the establishment of new IITs, IIMs, universities, and colleges, aimed at enhancing the country’s educational landscape. BITS Pilani has launched BITS Design School which will teach design by combining inter-disciplinary subjects such as technology, business, and entrepreneurship.
