According to a press release issued on September 4, the ‘acceptance’ window for the upgraded allocations and Round-I results for Performance-Based Programs, CW (Children/Widows of Armed Forces Personnel), ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities), Sports, and Ward Quota has been extended. According to the DU notification, the last date to accept the seat allocation is August 18. DU UG Admission 2024: Delhi University on Wednesday extended the last date to fill the preferences for programme and college combinations at the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) in Phase-II for undergraduate admissions until Friday, August 9. Candidates who have completed their Phase-I registration must log in to the University portal—du.ac.in—and complete the formalities of Phase II. Students must note that the preferences they save in CSAS will determine the allocation and admission of the candidates. The University Grants Commission (UGC) on Thursday, August 1, granted central universities permission to conduct their own entrance exams or admit students on the basis of marks in the qualifying exam if seats remain vacant in undergraduate and postgraduate courses after admissions through Common University Entrance Test (CUET). However, the CUET scores will remain the primary criteria for the admission process, the UGC said. The commission emphasised that students who appeared in CUET may be considered irrespective of the domain subject papers in which they appeared. Delhi University (DU) has announced that it will introduce a single girl child quota across its courses starting from the upcoming Academic Session 2024-2025. DU Registrar Vikas Gupta stated that the university’s decision to provide more opportunities for single girl children under the supernumerary seats’ category is a first. This move intends to offer increased access to education for these individuals.
