The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) is set to inaugurate the Tony James Centre for Private Equity and Venture Capital on 6 August. This will mark the launch of the first Global Centre of Excellence dedicated to research, education, and collaboration in the private equity and venture capital (PEVC) field in Asia’s third-largest economy. The Centre, named after Blackstone’s Hamilton “Tony” James, has been established with support from Mathew Cyriac, Chairman of Florintree Advisors, Co-founder of Yali Capital, and 1994 IIMB graduate. NIRF Rankings 2024: The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 rankings were unveiled on Monday, August 12, by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. Indian Institute of Management (IIM)- Ahmedabad retained the top spot for best Business school in India again. IIM-Ahmedabad was followed by IIM-Bangalore, IIM-Kozhikode, IIT -Delhi, IIM-Calcutta. Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has been ranked among the top 25 institutions globally for business and management studies, according to Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject. IIM-Bangalore and IIM-Calcutta have been ranked among the top 50. The Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore (IIM-B) on Thursday said it has concluded placements for the Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics (PGP-BA) 2024 and the Post Graduate Programme in Management  (PGP) 2024.  The placement week, which ended on February 7, 2024, saw 503 students placed, while 13 students were placed in a subsequent rolling placement process.
