RAIPUR: The MBBS course in Chhattisgarh will be offered in Hindi from the ongoing academic session, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said on Saturday. Speaking to reporters at his residence on the occasion of ‘Hindi Diwas’, Sai said his government was happy to implement Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to impart medical education in Hindi which he had expressed during a rally in Uttar Pradesh in 2022.“Our government has taken a big decision on Hindi Diwas. Amid the growing demand of reduction in cut-off marks by applicants, the National Medical Commission (NMC) will soon lower the NEET PG cut-off 2023 mark, according to media report.  The reduction in NEET PG cut-off 2023 mark will not be a compromise to the quality of education of the medical students as whey have become eligible for the course after compleeting their MBBS education, NMC member Dr Harish Gupta told Indian Express.  Mint could not independently verify the report. The Supreme Court on Friday said there cannot be any compromise with the quality of medical education which will affect public health. The apex court said after dismissing a batch of petitions seeking a special stray round of counselling to fill 1,456 seats in NEET-PG-21 which have remained vacant after the conduct of a stray round of counselling for All India Quota.
