New Delhi: The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has imposed a penalty of ₹3 lakh on Sriram’s IAS, a coaching institute, for making misleading claims about the results of the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2022. The CCPA’s action follows complaints that the coaching institute’s advertisements suggested a higher success rate than the actual case. Coaching institutes often make exaggerated claims about the success rate of their students by including candidates who have not even taken a paid class or used other paid facilities of the coaching institute. GUWAHATI: On Wednesday, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu announced that the Government of Assam has released a recruitment advertisement for 14,223 school teacher positions across the state. Pegu shared the information through a series of posts on X, specifying that the Directorate of Secondary Education has published the advertisement for 1,424 post-graduate teachers and 7,249 graduate teachers.The graduate teachers will be recruited from different streams like arts, science, Hindi and Sanskrit for provincialised secondary schools.
