Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said Class 10 and 12 students will get an option of appearing for board examinations twice a year from the academic session 2025-26.The minister said the move has been made to reduce academic stress. India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 envisages biannual board exams to provide students with ample opportunities to excel academically. New Delhi: The drop out rate in Class 10 stands at 20.6 per cent as of 2021-22 with Odisha being the worst performing state in this regard followed by Bihar, Union Education MinisterDharmendra Pradhan informed the Lok Sabha on Monday. The dropout rate in Class 10 was 49.9 per cent in Odisha and 42.1 per cent in Bihar, said Pradhan in his written response.
