NEW DELHI: A bill to establish a central tribal university in Telangana was introduced in the Lok Sabha on Monday by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. According to the statement and objects of the Central Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2023 establishment of “Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University” will cater to the regional aspirations for years to come. The proposed institution, it said, will increase access and quality of higher education and facilitate and promote higher education and research facilities for the people of Telangana. SUNDARGARH: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan laid the foundation stones for six projects and inaugurated a Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) at NIT Rourkela in Odisha on Thursday. Guidelines for foreign universities to set up their campuses in India to be notified soon said Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results for Class 10th and 12th on May 12, 2023. A total of 21,65,805 students appeared for Class 10th, with a pass percentage of 93.12%, indicating a decrease of 1.28% from the previous year. Despite this, the pass percentage of 93.12% in 2023 surpassed the pre-Covid pass percentage of 91.10% in 2019. Overall 38,64,373 students registered for the CBSE examinations this year. NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday announced the class 12th results for the academic year 2022-23, with a pass percentage of 87.33%. The pass percentage is a significant improvement over the 83.40% of 2019 in the pre-Covid period. Last year’s pass percentage was 92.71%, which indicates a drop in the overall pass percentage this year.This year’s results have no merit list, but 1.36% of the students scored 95% and above, while 6.80% scored 90% and above.
