YAMUNANAGAR: Police here used force to disperse protesting guest teachers when they proceeded to gherao Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal’s residence here on Sunday. The guest teachers are demanding regularisation of their services. Police said the teachers wanted to be gherao the residence of education minister when they were stopped as they had not taken any permission for holding the demonstration. A body representing the guest teachers claimed 20 teachers had sustained injuries in police action. Pegu shared the information through a series of posts on X, specifying that the Directorate of Secondary Education has published the advertisement for 1,424 post-graduate teachers and 7,249 graduate teachers.The graduate teachers will be recruited from different streams like arts, science, Hindi and Sanskrit for provincialised secondary schools. The upper house of the Parliament, Rajya Sabha on December 13 passed a bill giving nod to the establishment of central tribal university in Telangana. Guidelines for foreign universities to set up their campuses in India to be notified soon said Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. In an interview with PTI, the Education Minister said, “We are going to make a paradigm shift. So, we will go ahead after exploring all possibilities and clearing all doubts.
