The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) 2023 report, released recently, has thrown up a series of interesting insights. The data shared recently by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) showed that the highest average score in this English proficiency exam was witnessed among candidates from Dehradun where the average score of test takers was 105.6. The Educational Testing Service (ETS) will soon start offering the English language test TOEFL as a personalised test depending upon individual requirements as well as the test takers’ background to make the assessment as unbiased as possible, said a report by PTI. The number of Indian test takers for Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) to pursue secondary education and certifications abroad has seen a gradual rise over the years, said a report by PTI citing data from the Educational Testing Service (ETS). Those taking the TOEFL test for immigration purpose has fallen, said the Princeton-based ETS, which conducts the TOEFL and Graduate Record Examination (GRE), as per the report.
