NCERT alters references to ‘Gujarat riots, Babri Masjid’ from Class 12 syllabus
The National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has deleted some references to the politics of Hindutva, the 2002 Gujarat riots, minorities, and Babri Masjid from the political science syllabus of Class 12 that will come into effect from the academic session 2024-25. To be sure, references to the same subjects might occur elsewhere in the textbook. The body posted the modifications on its official website — ncert.nic.in — on April 4, Hindustan Times reported.
