NEW DELHI: In a relief to approximately 17 lakh madarsa students, the Supreme Court on Friday stayed an Allahabad High Court order that repealed the Uttar Pradesh Board of Madarsa Education Act, 2004, calling it “unconstitutional” and a violation of the principle of secularism.
