The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday announced that a re-test for all 1,563 NEET UG candidates who received grace marks due to an incorrect question will be conducted on June 23, 2024 and the results will be declared on June 30. “Subsequent to the Supreme Court’s observations on the report of NTA’s High Powered Committee, the grace/compensatory marks awarded to all 1,563 students have been withdrawn. NEET Exam Row: Several NEET aspirants have alleged that marks were inflated, resulting in a record 67 candidates achieving the top rank, six of whom were from the same exam centre, according to a PTI report. The National Testing Agency (NTA), however, has refuted allegations of irregularities. They attributed the high scores to changes in the NCERT textbooks and grace marks awarded for time lost at examination centres. The National Testing Agency has preponed the SHRESHTA (NETS) exam by a few days in light of the Lok Sabha elections. The exam scheduled for May 24 will now be held on May 11.
