NEW DELHI: Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh spoke on the CUET-UG result delay and said that there are two issues to deal with. Not very long ago, a young Falak Aftab filled her notebook page with black colour when asked to draw any painting from her imagination. Falak confided in her teacher that she had nothing else but a ‘dark’ life in mind. “She used to live in isolation. Whenever we tried to engage with her, she remained silent. BENGALURU: The Karnataka government issued a government order on Wednesday restricting the degree programmes in the state to three years.The UG programmes will not have the option of a fourth year degree programme, as was introduced by the National Education Policy in 2021. The fourth year was optional earlier in the NEP scheme as well. PUNE: Officials in the state’s steering committee for implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 observed that in many higher educational institutes, “religion, jingoism and blind heroworship” were being taught under the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) course subjects. In a move aimed at streamlining the admission process for doctoral programs, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced that scores from the National Eligibility Test (NET) will be valid for PhD admissions starting from the 2024-25 academic session. This decision aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and addresses the challenges faced by candidates who currently have to write multiple entrance exams conducted by various universities for PhD admissions. NEW DELHI: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided that starting from the academic session 2024-25, PhD admissions can utilize National Eligibility Test (NET) scores. This decision aims to streamline the admission process under the National Education Policy, eliminating the need for multiple entrance exams.
