Candidates can apply for the examination at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/, the official website to apply for CUET UG 2024. The last date to submit the application form for CUET UG 2024 is March 26, 2025. The registration-cum-application window and the fee payment window of CUET UG 2024 will be closed at 11:50 pm on March 26, 2024. TheCommon University Entrance Test-Undergraduate (CUET-UG) application process will start tomorrow (Monday) evening orthe day after, said University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman M Jagadesh Kumar on Sunday. The CUET-UG 2024 exam is spread over a month.   Normalisation of scores for the CUET-UG is likely to be done away with this year, with the National Testing Agency (NTA) planning a rejig of the crucial exam for its third edition, reported news agency PTI on February 22. NEW DELHI: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued ‘Guidelines to Provide Equitable Opportunity for the Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs) in the HEIs’. The guidelines are in line with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which puts an emphasis on accessibility, equity, and inclusivity in higher education for socio-economically disadvantaged groups.The Commission recommended that all universities and Higher Education Institutions in the country follow these guidelines in order to improve the educational opportunities of students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds.The university body has asked that universities and Higher Education Institutions implement bridge courses, earn-while-learn schemes, and outreach programmes ... MUMBAI: Mumbai University will be awarding 425 Ph D degrees during the annual convocation this year – a 15% increase from last year. The annual convocation is scheduled on February 7, where UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar will be the chief guest. While the number of students completing their PhDs had drastically dropped during the two years of pandemic and even came down to 153, the numbers are slowly recovering.Last year, 367 Ph D degrees were awarded during the annual convocation event.Before the pandemic, the total numbers had even gone to 500+ in 2018.
