Delhi: Getting your child enrolled in any school in Delhi has its own set of difficulties. In addition to the already existing admission criteria and award points set by various schools, the Directorate of Education (DoE) has now instructed schools to ‘ensure strict admission procedures’. The DoE’s latest circular mandates that all schools, including government, government-aided, and non-aided recognised private schools in Delhi must carry out ‘thorough documentation’ and ‘implement greater scrutiny’ during admission. New Delhi: The Delhi government on Tuesday rolled out a scheme that offers seed funding of ₹50,000 each to small teams of college and industrial training institute (ITI) students to start their own business ventures, as part of efforts to promote entreprenership among the youth.  The scheme is an expanded version of the Aam Aadmi Party’s similar programme for school students. The University of Delhi announced on Thursday that it has accepted the findings of a report investigating alleged irregularities in 12 colleges fully funded by the Delhi government. The report, compiled by a 10-member committee, was unanimously approved in a historic joint meeting of the Academic Council (AC) and Executive Council (EC) under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh.This marked the first joint AC and EC meeting in DU‘s 102-year history. NEW DELHI: A Delhi University committee investigating alleged “financial irregularities” in 12 Delhi government-funded colleges has ruled out any misappropriation of funds and said the colleges can continue with their affiliation with the university. The panel submitted its findings in a report that was presented in the 1270th meeting of the DU’s Executive Council convened on Saturday to approve and discuss some key decisions.The Executive Council (EC) is the university’s highest decision-making body.
