An Indian woman aged 92 went to school for the first time and has learned how to read and write. Salima Khan, the great-grandmother was born in around 1931 and was married at the age of 14. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to conclude the submission process for the List of Candidates (LOC) for classes 10 and 12 in 2024, today, September 28. The registration process, initially started on August 18, and was originally supposed to end on September 18 but had been been extended until today. The number of Indian test takers for Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) to pursue secondary education and certifications abroad has seen a gradual rise over the years, said a report by PTI citing data from the Educational Testing Service (ETS). Those taking the TOEFL test for immigration purpose has fallen, said the Princeton-based ETS, which conducts the TOEFL and Graduate Record Examination (GRE), as per the report.
